HOT ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL – JAMES CARGAS CONTINUES TO DELIVER

HFT JOIN CWA AND IBEW AND ENDORSE CARGAS FOR CONGRESS

April 27, 2012 (Houston):  Whatever the secret is to running for office, they told CD7’s Candidate James Cargas and he’s putting his lessons to the test. James Cargas, Candidate for Texas Congressional District 7, is hard on the campaign trail, talking with the people and meeting with civic groups every night.

They must like what they see and hear in Cargas, a veteran of the Clinton Administration and former Congressional aide, because he continues to earn endorsements.

Cargas has received the sole endorsement from the American Federation of Teachers (ATF). The ATF represents 1.5 million teachers including higher education faculty, government employees of all levels and health care professionals. The ATF recognize James Cargas for his commitment to putting Americans back to work and wanting to invest in our future with a reasonably balanced federal budget..

“James Cargas will bring common sense back to decision-making in CD 7.  We can no longer afford to allow the party of no dictate policy on public education, job creation, infrastructure needed to keep our country moving forward.”, stated Gayle Fallon, president of the Houston Teachers Union.

James Cargas has also earned the support from the Communications Workers of America (CWA)  Local 6222 and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 716.  In a matter of a few short months, Cargas has established himself as the front runner for the Democratic nomination and clearly the only candidate that can unseat an entrenched and out-of-touch incumbent.
