James Cargas for Congress – James’ Bio Video

I am James Cargas and I am running for Texas’ 7th Congressional District.

I am running because Houston deserves representation of our values on Capitol Hill.

The job of Member of Congress is representing local issues at the federal level.

I was a congressional aide to Representative David Bonior, the former Democratic Whip, when Jim Wright of Fort Worth was the House Speaker.
After law school, I served Bill Clinton’s White House at the President’s Council on Sustainable Development.

I finished the Clinton Administration working for Secretary of Energy, Bill Richardson before relocating to our nation’s Energy Capital.

Now, I am the City of Houston’s energy lawyer.
I have served Mayors Bill White, Annise Parker and now Sylvester Turner.

I am part of the team that made Houston the 7th largest purchaser of renewable energy in the Nation, and that brought a 50 Megawatt solar power plant on line to serve City meters.

I am an energy expert ready to represent the world’s Energy Capital.

I know local issues, and I know how to get legislation passed on Capitol Hill.

We have seen what electing an inexperienced President looks like.
Democrats should not make the same mistake in Texas.

I’m running for Congress to stand up to rubber stamp John Culberson who votes 100% with Donald Trump when they ignore and disrespect our Constitution.

Congress is broken.

The only way to repair the damage done is to remove the obstructionist Tea Party, including John Culberson.
We must begin the work of rebuilding a Congress that values fairness and respect for our Constitution.

My promise to you is to fight for a sustainable future.
My promise to you is to bring back fairness to America.

I hope my message will inspire you to join my campaign,
donate to my campaign, and vote for James Cargas.
